Celebrate Earth Day at Westwind

Join us April 20th to Celebrate Earth Day

We are excited to welcome you to Westwind’s scenic beach and green forests on April 20, 2024, from 10 am to 3 pm. Come spend the day walking along the Salmon River, learning from a selection of coastal conservation organizations, and celebrating Earth Day. Food and snacks will be provided, along with possible prizes and souvenirs!

Raindrop to Sea Trail Opening

We are officially opening our newest trail! Join us during our Earth Day Celebration for the Raindrop to Sea trail ribbon-cutting ceremony. The ceremony will be in front of the “Story of Life as Told by Water” statue next to McIver Lodge at 12 PM.

The Raindrop to Sea Trail was built in collaboration with the Cascade Head Biosphere Collaborative and Trail Keepers of Oregon. It will be an educational tool for Westwind visitors and students from Lincoln County schools. Along the trail, informational plaques teach about the water cycle. Additionally, the Raindrop to Sea Trail offers a more gradual route to one of Westwind’s most impressive views.

We are excited to hold our second annual Earth Day Raffle to support conservation at Westwind. We have an incredible selection of prizes donated by local businesses. Prizes include a restaurant gift card to Lincoln City’s Hearth & Table, glass floats from ThornMeadow Glassworks, gear for your next adventure from Foster Outdoors, beer and souvenirs from Breakside Brewing and Gilgamesh Brewing, and more!

Tickets will be available for purchase during the event via cash or card.
