Fall at Westwind
The change in season in the temperate coastal rainforest is gradual, but already there are signs of fall. With more frequent rainy days the mushrooms are popping up along the trails, and maple and alder have started to turn. Fall is also one of the last chances in the year to visit Westwind. Join us as we work on projects at camp during Stewardship Weekend, learn the secrets of mycology at Mushroom Camp, or enjoy a weekend away for Fall Friends and Family Camp. Looking ahead – the 2020 schedule and registration will be available November 1st, so mark your calendars!

Mushroom Camp – Registration Still Open
November 1-3, 2019
Fall at Westwind brings a fantastic flush of edibles, including matsutake, chantrelles, porcinis, and more. Upon foraging at Westwind for a day and finding over 125 species, David Arora called Westwind a “Mushroom Safari”.
Join mycologists, cooks, and aficionados for a weekend of foraging, identification, discussions, and cooking with mushrooms. This camp is focused for ages 18+ and all levels of experience are welcome. |
