In the blink of an eye, camp begins!
Some quick updates on what has been going on:
- We had a fantastic Visitors’ Day on June 17, with a record 250+ people coming to Westwind for the day. For some it was a first time visit, and for others it was an annual return that has been going on for 50+ years! The canoe crossing was an adventure (we had low water for the first hour of crossing), and it was such a joy to see so many people over a near-perfect Sunday! Check out some photos from the day!
- With summer now in full swing, Westwind’s Spring ‘Back to Camp’ fundraising appeal is over. Your donations totaled $3,821.10 and every last penny is appreciated! Please check out all of our Stewardship programming (our broad heading for all the activities you can do to support Westwind) and let us know if you have further questions about giving or volunteering.
- Session 1 kicked off this past Sunday (June 24) with over 120 excited Youth campers crossing the river and being sung into camp in traditional Westwind fashion. Thank you to the amazing Westwind staff for their great energy during training and priceless work leading another session of Westwind campers!
