There are Now Two Ways to Celebrate Earth Day At Westwind:
Come for the Day or Rent a Cabin for Earth Day Weekend!
Stay for the Weekend
Do you wish you could spend a whole weekend at camp and also attend our Earth Day event?
We are excited to offer Family Cabin Rentals at Westwind during Earth Day weekend, April 17-19, 2026!
Unlike a Family Camp or Youth Session, Earth Day Weekend gives you a cabin of your own. Fill it with up to 9 friends, or keep it all to yourself.
Join us for all of our Earth Day festivities as well as self-led activities throughout the weekend. All meals are provided and served in Wilson Lodge as part of your Meal Plan.
Pricing:
Cabin rental: $550 per cabin (each cabin sleeps 9)
Meal Plan: $80 per person (required)
Come for the Day
Join us on the scenic Oregon Coast for our fourth annual Earth Day Event! At the confluence of the Salmon River and the Pacific Ocean, we will celebrate our mission that brings together conservation and community. Meet our amazing community conservation partners, learn about our on-going conservation initiatives, and explore our incredible ecosystems.
Celebrate Earth Day at Westwind is April 18, 2026 from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm. Activities include organized hikes, site tour, a beach clean up, presentations from local conservation organizations, and more. Food and snacks will be provided, along with possible prizes and souvenirs!
RSVP below! Admission is free, but if you would like to make a donation to support this event, please do so here.
Ferry or hike!
There are two arrival options for our Earth Day Event:
- You will have the option to park at Knight County Park to catch our ferry across the Salmon River
- You can park at our Fraser Farm and enjoy a beautiful 1.5 mile hike into Westwind through old growth forest and along our Salmon River estuary.
Please indicate which arrival option you choose when you register for the event. Email info@westwind.org with any questions.
