Learn More about Teen Babysitter Volunteers

Teen Babysitter Volunteers are an essential part of our Family Camps. They help run activities, support staff, watch cabins, and babysit small groups of campers during activity blocks. You will work with a team of other high schoolers to create an unforgettable experience and gain a unique perspective on Westwind. Learn more about why you should apply to be a babysitter!

Why should you volunteer?

As a babysitter you will work closely with Westwind staff, learning how to manage small groups to grow your confidence as a leader. You will help lead activities, supervise a cabin at night, and participate in campfire. Being a babysitter gives you a unique opportunity to be at Westwind and help create the Westwind experience with a team of motivated peers. You will work with individual campers and small groups to build communication skills work with a team, and learn directly from counselors. Being a babysitter looks great on a resume and school application, and can be a stepping stone for future camp and child care experiences. Most importantly, being a babysitter is a lot of fun!
