Assistant Camp Director (2020 Summer Seasonal)
The Assistant Camp Director works to further the mission of camp through the planning and delivery of camp programs and staff training and assist in the management of overall camp operation at the direction of the Camp/Program Director. The Assistant Camp Director will ensure that both camp staff and all participants know and follow safety and educational procedures during camp programs, as well as assist in the management and care of the physical facilities, supervise and evaluate summer staff, and assist the Camp/Program Director in developing and implementing schedules and records for all areas of camp program and facilities. Responsibilities will include assisting with staff training; assisting with administrative duties such as communicating with families before, during, and after camp sessions; answering the phone, and monitoring emails; running meetings with summer staff and coordinating daily logistics; supporting summer staff in team building and conflict resolution; and assist with evaluating staff and providing summer-long support. Must have prior leadership and management experience and must come with a willingness to grow and be challenged. The position begins before staff training (end of May) and is seasonal. Additional duties may include helping with dishes and cleaning of camp, running activities during Family Camps, and any additional duties assigned by the Camp/Program Director.
