2017 End-Of-Year Campership Campaign “Thank you!”

One of the highlights of last summer was the “Bioblitz” during the first camp session. Check out the photo album.

Holiday greetings! With over $60,000 raised, we are more than halfway to our 2018 Campership goal of $110,000. This is amazing, and we just want to say:

THANK YOU!

Camperships allow Westwind to welcome those who would otherwise not be able to afford camp, ensuring we heed our own vision that all children have access to wild and undeveloped places (like Westwind!). Camperships make Westwind a richer and wiser community, and sustaining diversity and inclusion at camp ensures one of the great rewards of going away to camp: meeting new people different from yourself and making lifelong friendships – an experience that happens at Westwind many times over every year.

The majority of campers say they gained confidence, outdoor skills, and a sense of adventure from attending Westwind; 90% reported they made a new friend during camp; and 94% say they want to come back next summer. Westwind has an impact, and everyone’s contributions (donations, grants, sweat equity, wise counsel, etc.) ensure those life-changing experiences are accessible to a wide array of people.

Again, THANK YOU to the Westwind community, and we hope to see and hear from many of you in 2018.
