Laura Chase

Laura has been Westwind's Program Director since 2019 and has worked in camps and experiential education for nearly 20 years. She began as a counselor and supervisor at Westwind and with the MESD Outdoor School, then facilitated programs abroad, primarily in West and East Africa and India, leading students through meaningful cross-cultural experiences. She has also worked as a professional outdoor guide and managed community-based outdoor programs in Alaska and the Pacific Northwest. At Westwind, she has expanded teen program opportunities, built and deepened relationships with community partners, and strengthened a program culture of curiosity, kindness, and care.

When she is not at Westwind, she loves to travel, play music, ski and hike with her dog Boots, and curl up with a good book.
