Family Camp Bonanza at Westwind

Archery at Father Child Camp

We are in the middle of a few weeks of Family Camps  at Westwind – Mother Child, Father Child, CampOUT, and soon, Friends and Family. And while we still have two more Youth Sessions (the summer is not over yet!), we want to highlight the special role that Family Camps play at Westwind.

Family camps foster life-changing outdoor experiences for parents and children (one of Westwind’s core missions), and are a surefire way for parents to build special memories with their children. Families spend time together in a supportive and entertaining camp community, and find peace, adventure and fun amidst the splendor of Westwind. Campers eat ‘family style,’ do camp activities together, and have staff and volunteer babysitters who supervise activities with the children while parents have time with other adults. Campfires and talent shows fill the evenings, and during the day there is ample time to relax, nap, or hang out in Westwind’s new hammock world.

Check out the latest video from CampOUT, and photo album from Father Child to get an idea of these magical sessions, and for anyone who has not experienced a Family Camp at Westwind look ahead to our Fall Friends & Family Camp on October 14-16.
